 10/29/12
Dearest Family,
The work is continuing to press on and Sister Cady and I are having way too much fun with this whole mission thing :D
I'm so excited to see how many more missionaries are going to also have this wonderful experience! our mission president took us aside at zone conference and told us that there are going to be some major changes happening here in chattanooga. (and this was even before the announcement was made. so now i'm sure it's even going to be bigger changes!) so we are preparing and are excited to find out what these changes are! All we know right now is that there are going to be more missionaries than areas in our next transfer. WOW. so they are going to be opening up new areas. it's so exciting.

Update about Lashaunda. She is getting baptized November 6! originially it was going to be the 10th but there is a huge YSA conference and so people in the branch would be gone and unable to attend the baptism for support. So we talked with our mission president and he okayed the 6th. Lashaunda was so excited to move up the date. she is so prepared and so ready to take this step. She even is singing with us in the stake choir! cool right? She is such a sweetheart.

New investigator with a baptismal date. His name is Richard and he found us at the library. He came up to us and asked us about a book he was reading. We had no idea. Then I asked him if he really enjoyed reading and then we introduced the Book of mormon to him. At first he looked turned off when we said "mormon" but then before we knew it, he was sitting down with us and we gave him the first discussion! He was very interested. When we testified of the Book of Mormon he said, "Well it makes sense. It's plain and simple" and then we met with him again and talked about the gospel of jesus christ. We testified of the Holy Ghost and he said, "I really need that." So we invited him to be baptized and he said yes! The Lord's hand was definitely involved in those lessons and we pray that he will continue to progress. The work is truly progressing and we are so excited.
